Almost a Year

We arrived in Hershey on June 17, 2024. It is hard to believe that we are closing in on a year of being here. It has been an up and down journey, but we know that this is where God wants us and we look forward to wrapping up this school year and focus on what's ahead.

Since moving to the Elementary Division, we have been doing a lot of shadowing other Houseparents who are placed in a home. We have been learning a lot and appreciate their hospitality. One of the hardest things about going from a tri-fex, where we were only in three homes, to flex Houseparents is that it is hard to remember all of the students' names, because we bounce from house to house. One of the nice things about it though, is we are able to go home and sleep in our own bed! It has been totally worth the move.

One of the advantages of waking up early to go to a student home is the sunrises.
