We have been in two home shadowing Houseparents of girls we may have starting next week when we cover homes. One night, we saw a groundhog on the lawn. I think it was Januck's first time ever to really see one. The same night, we saw a skunk out by the trash cans and alerted the Houseparents! Also, unusual out here are these insects called Lantern flies. They start out looking like spiders and then become jumping flies with red under their wings.
Last night, we were invited with other new employees to a nice welcome dinner in a refurnished barn. The President of Milton Hershey Schools is also a graduate and had some interesting stories to tell of his time in the barn.

This a local produce stand on a corner near our house.

They sell local corn!

Sweet! Talk about sweet corn. You don't even need butter on it because they are soooooo good! (My toes are photo bombing the picture.)

The tomatoes are amazing! They taste even better with Japanese Kewpie mayonnaise.

At the welcome dinner last night. They even had a live band.

Some desserts for after dinner.

More dessert!

A beautiful night in Hershey, Pennsylvania!

We got our first card today in the mail! Thank you Eden! Don't forget...You're Awesome!!!!
