Last Saturday, President Gurt and his wife hosted a Halloween themed dinner and movie at the Homestead. The Homestead is where Milton Hershey was born and it is where President Gurt and his wife live. It was also the first school building and residence for the boys of the Hershey Industrial School in 1910. The invitation was for all of the seniors, TL staff, and Houseparents who were covering in the TL division.

The Homestead

The dinner was perfect for kids: sliders, mini hot dogs, mac n cheese, and more!

Joanna getting ready to watch the movie Coraline. We sat in cushy chairs and the students watched while sitting on blankets.

Looks like we each found a new spouse.

Popcorn ready for the movie.

We tried to get a selfie but Joanna kept moving and was blurry, so it was solo Mr. Scarecrow.

Trick or Treaters?

Yikes!

Lots of decorations.

We dared!

Happy Halloween! (Or if you don't celebrate Halloween, then Happy Autumn!)

What a cool event. As a note, "Coraline" was originally in 3D. I saw it in the theaters--it wasn't exctly Gaiman's book, but I loved it. I will never think of buttons the same way!
