We learned a lot this week- from fire safety to derugulation of students. We ordered food for the first time online through Milton Hershey Schools and picked it up at the Supply Center. We went to a new church today with another colleague and shopped at a new grocery store. At least everything is in English, unlike our times living in Japan, but still NEW!
We are starting our new week and have opted and selected to be in Middle School Homes, that would be Grades 5-8. Really excited to work as a team and interact with Middle Schoolers. The time we shadowed in a Middle School home, I threw a baseball to a student for 30 minutes that was learning how to bunt. We taught another student how to introduce himself in Japanese. It is all very rewarding and new!
We found a beautiful back way to our Training Center the other day and showed another couple from Jamaica the route. They seemed so happy saying it reminded them of home. Really enjoying the people we are meeting and everyone is SO nice. Last night, we even got a box of chocolate as a Welcome gift from other HouseParents. They were just checking in with us! The support we have gotten is GREAT!

The rotunda at Founders Hall is amazing!
The rotunda has flags representing all of the places the students have come from. California!!!!

During training, we had to build an ideal student home out of Legos!

Some of the students at Milton Hershey School make ice cream using the milk from the cows on campus. Can we just say...AMAZING!

We got our first pin for our lanyards! It looks like we have become pin collectors!

Here we are!!!! (Why is my head so much bigger?!?!)
We love weather! This has been a typical night lately.

WE MISS THIS GROUP!!!!!!!!

We really enjoy learning about your new experiences in Pennsylvania!
