What a Start to the New School Year!

Monday was the Opening Assembly for Milton Hershey School and it was a production! We had to get the our Student Home up early and the Houseparents brought donuts as a special treat for the girls. We then loaded the van to go park at the Giant Center in Hershey to our assigned seating area for the Opening Assembly. Each student had a passport with trolley stops, where a special coin was used to scratch off each stop. Each stop had special meaning to the over all theme this year which is "Raise the Bar". At the end of the trolley stops, an alum sang songs and stars dropped from the stadium. Of course, the Hershey bar, Chocolate Kiss, Reese's Peanut Butter cup and the Hershey Bear mascots were walking around greeting all the students. On the way out of the stadium, every student and employee got a chocolate bar with the new theme of this year. Januck then dropped the students off at school for their first school day of 2024-2025.

Last year's theme was Breakthrough. This year's theme is Raise the Bar!

We actually had to have a ticket to get into the Opening of School Assembly.

Everybody got a Passport which had different trolly stops along the way.
