What to do on a weekend?

When we are on our rotation over the weekend, we are with the kids 24/7 from Friday afternoon to Monday morning so we try to find things to do, especially getting the kids out of the house. Last weekend, the Housemom we were assisting wanted to go on a hike and we were so glad that she did. It was beautiful!

Heading to the trailhead to hike up to the Governor Dick Tower with seven Kindergarten through 2nd grade kids.

They sure have a lot of energy!

We finally reached the tower. Now, time to climb to the top!

The ladder!

There are series of ladders and landings on the way up and on the way down.

They were so excited to see Mrs. Po from the top!

The view from the top was amazing!

While waiting for some of the kids to come down the tower, there happened to be this cool spider dragging a caterpillar and it was flat. Looks like the spider had a nice lunch!
